Resist the Devil 

Today’s scriptures remind us that spiritual resistance begins with humility and surrender to God. 

James tells us to humble ourselves before God, resist the devil, and he will flee. Matthew 4 shows Jesus resisting temptation in the wilderness by standing on the Word of God. 

Fasting often brings spiritual battles to the surface. Temptation may feel stronger. Distractions may increase. Old habits may call louder. But we are not powerless. 

We resist by submitting to God.   

We resist by standing on Scripture.   

We resist by refusing compromise.   

We resist by worshiping God alone. 

Jesus answered every temptation with the Word. Today, choose one scripture to speak over your life when temptation comes. 

The enemy is not stronger than the God who lives in you. 

Today’s Prayer:   

Lord, I humble myself before You. Help me resist temptation and stand firm in Your Word. Purify my heart, strengthen my loyalty, and teach me to worship You alone. Amen.
