Create in Me a Clean Heart

Today is a day of repentance and renewal.

Nehemiah confessed not only the sins of the people but also his own. David cried out for mercy and asked God to create in him a clean heart. These prayers show us that spiritual renewal begins with humility.

Repentance is not just feeling sorry. It is turning back to God. It is allowing Him to wash us, restore us, and renew our spirit.

Maybe this week has revealed attitudes, habits, or patterns that need to change. Do not run from conviction. Conviction is an invitation to freedom. God does not reject a broken and repentant heart.

Ask Him to restore the joy of your salvation. Ask Him to renew your obedience. Ask Him to make your heart clean again.

There is mercy for you today.

Today’s Prayer:

God, have mercy on me. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Restore my joy and make me willing to obey You. I surrender my sin and receive Your forgiveness. Amen.
